Fairy Child Stamp Forget Me Not by Morgan Fitzsimon!

I love to alter things that I find at the Goodwill and during one of my trips to San Antonio, I picked up this box that definitely needed some loving altering care. So, I sanded it down and made some minor repairs.

So, here is what I created using Morgan's digi "Fairy Chld Stamp Forge me Not"

Ok, so I am not a good cook, but I will definitely give you a RECIPE for this cute book made so perfect for any little girl!

You can use any old box that you find at a Goodwill or garage sale. The more beat up the better becasue it give it that charming affect.
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
  • Fairy Child Stamp Forget me Not Digi from Morgan Fitzsimons collecton
  • Bling
  • Dollies (these are from Wilton Cake)
  • Designer paper of Choice (I used DCWV Nana's Nusery)
  • Stampin Up Pear Pizzaz Cardstock
  • Ink Pads Color of Choice
  • Trim or Lace (I picked my trim from Hobby Lobby)
  • Acryllic Paint
  • Crackle
  • Paint Brush
  • Flowers
  • Sand paper
  • Melissa Frances door embellishment
Once you have gathered all your supplies you will begin by sanding down and distressing your box. The more nicks the box has the more charm it will have once you have altered it. Once I have sanded down the old paint, I apply the dark color as the primary base. I used an acryllic lavender paint that I picked up at Michaels. Let that dry and then apply a thin coat of crackle medium. Allow the crackle to air dry and once it's completely dried apply your light color of acryllic paint.
You will begin to see the paint begin to crackle once you apply the acryllic paint. Let it dry once again and take some of the Tim Holtz Distressing Ink and just dab around the edges and where you want to bring out the crackle affects.

Next measure you box and cut your designer paper to fit the box. I normally leave about a 1/4" border around the edges and the same for my layers. I distress the edges and dabbed it with a Ink Pad in this case I used a Concord Crush color from Stampin Up and with a sponge I distressed the edges.
For my digi "Fairy Child Stamp Forge Me Not" I colored it in with water color pencils. It's amazing how good they work. I cut around the digi and glued it to the dollie with the Scotch Quick Dry. I adhered it all to the box and added some bling to give it that extra sweetness.
My flower spray well, that is something that I make myself, and if you are interested in making one, be sure to signup for my upcoming class.
I really like the pearl trim that I picked up at Hobby Lobby for a $1.00 that was an awesome buy! I love a bargain. The box is something any little girl could use for years to come, it can be her treasure box now and her jewelry or memory keepsake box years from now.
To top it off I created a little card to go with the box.

I hope you enjoy it.

I hope you enjoyed this fun and cute project.
