Ballerina Dance

Here is another cute card that you can make using the simplest things such as Buttons, Digital Images, Flowers, Ribbon and Kraft Cardstock!
I sewed the layers to give it that extra touch, and I don't know about you, but I can't sew garments, but I enjoy sewing on paper.  I can't sew a hem to save my life, but give me some paper and a sewing machine and I can instantly sew.  It's very easy to sew on paper, especially when it's something you like doing.
This card measures about 4 x 6" and I used Studio G envelop/card set as a template for my card.
The digital images are from my favorite place to shop digital collages, Iralamija.  These particular ones are from her Ballerina Collage Collection.  However, no card is complete unless you add the finishing touches of buttons, ribbon, and flowers.
I hope you enjoy this card, please come again.  Be sure to leave me a comment!

Shabby Mini Album

I can't tell you how much fun I have using Want2Scrap bling!  I truly enjoy using awesome products for my projects, it just makes it a lot more fun!

Yesterday, I was totally inspired by Marion Smith's tutorial on her binding album.  I was instantly inspired to create my own mini album.  So, yes I love bling, I love flowers, buttons, and mini albums.  These things are just a few things that really describes me.

My album is 4 x 6 and I used chipboard.  I covered the chipboard with Donna Salazar Denim Sheets that can be purchased at Want2Scrap online store www.want2scrap.com.  Now, I don't get paid by Want2Scrap, I don't work for them, nor do I design for them, but I can tell you this much about their products, they are AWESOME!  The best thing is that their Nestabling goes perfect with Spellbinder Nestabilities, and they come in various colors and designs!!!! So if you haven't done so yet, go check them out.

Now, let's get back to that album, I used Scor Tape to adhere the denim sheets to the covers.  My pages are actually Canson watercolor paper that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.  I cut the water color pages to 6 x 8" and scored each page at 4" I had a total of 7 cut.  I then cut my favorite cardstock ever Kraft paper to 3 3/4" x 5 3/4" and a pieces of Wild Roses by Colorbok to fit the Kraft paper which were 3 1/2" x  5 1/2".  I sewed these onto the Kraft paper and then glued onto the watercolor pages that I had already cut and scored.

I pierced 4 holes on the pages and used hemp string to bind the pages together.  Now you can watch the tutorial at Marion Smith Designs webpage.  It was very easy to do and very beautiful.

My cover I distressed by using acrylic paint and Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  The Denim sheets by Donna Salazar worked great for this project.  I used Want2Scrap black swirl bling and Donna's Hand Drawn Swirls, which I painted and distressed.  My inside cover I adhered the the Eiffel Tower Diecut also found at www.want2scrap.com.  My digital images are from Iralamija's collection Heart collage and Love Mail, so check out her online store as well.

My flowers are from Wild Orchard and so are the pins.  The lacy is just something I picked up at a thrift shop.  I hope you enjoy this beautiful mini album.  Please leave me a comment.

Sew Sweet

I love things like buttons, bling, flowers, antique sewing machines, and mannequins.  I found this digital images from Iralamija's Sewing Room collage sheets.  You can do so much with these collage sheets.

The card is 6x6 Ivory Coordination mixed with K&Company and Kraft Paper.  To add to the mannequin digital image I added things like buttons and sewed the edges of the layers.  Now NO card is complete without Want2Scrap Bling!!!  I used some of the black swirl bling from Want2Scrap to give it that oh la la and finishing touch.  To see Want2Scrap huge selection of bling be sure to stop by www.want2scrap.com and check out their online store.

I love the way a card turns out after you sew on paper.  Adding buttons, just gave this card that amazing final touch.
Enjoy!

Lovely Birdie

I love being able to use great products and this project I created using two of my favorites:  Want2scrap and Iralamija.  No, I don't get paid to say that, but I am a person that will say what I feel and if I like it I will tell you all about it.

I love the huge variety of bling that Want2Scrap has to offer, not only can you use it for just about any craft project, but the sky is the limit when you do use them.  They also carry nestaboards and other chipboard die cuts that are just amazingly beautiful.

Now, Iralamija is a very creative artist and she makes some awesome digital images perfect for any occasion and extremely affordable.

So, be sure to check out these two online stores.

The following is a Charlie Birdcage that I created using Want2Scrap chipboard birdcage.  I also embellished it with Nina's bracketts, just to give it that wow factor.  The bird inside of the cage is from the Tim Holtz die cut and I decorated it with Iralamija's bingo card collection.  They all worked very well together.

To give it that old vintage feel, I painted it with white acrylic paint and with a sponge I gave it a vintage feel by distressing it with Vintage Photo ink.

I truly hope you enjoy this project.

My Little Blessing

I just love it when you can put something together very nicely.  Scrapbook Stamp Society sponsored me an awesome card kit that was just absolutely stunning!  The kit is called My Little Blessing, and it certainly was a blessing to have received such a beautiful digi from Sherri Baldy.

What I have put together here is a card and journal using the digi along with some of my favorite things to work with, which is flowers and bling.  I think that when you work with these things you can easily create something stunning.

This card is 6 x 6,  I used Want2scrap swirl pearl bling, and their Nestaboard Fleur Rectangle, which I painted back.  The digi is from Scrapbook Stamp Society new card kit, perfect for Valentine's "My Little Blessings"  http://scrapbookstampsociety.com/auction_details.php?name=My-Little-Blessing-Card-Making-Kit-Download-Sherri-Baldy&auction_id=104967.
This kit is just beautiful!!! LOVE IT!!

My journal is also something I created using the same card kit "My Little Blessings"  http://scrapbookstampsociety.com/auction_details.php?name=My-Little-Blessing-Card-Making-Kit-Download-Sherri-Baldy&auction_id=104967 and my favorite Want2scrap pearl and black swirl bling.  I also used the "Adore" their new line of laser cuts.   I just love it when it all comes together well.

Back when I was about 18 there was a thing about straw hats, and I would go to Joann Fabrics pickup these straw hats and decorate them.  Well, 23 years later I couldn't resist the temptation and I brought a simple straw hat only this time I painted the hat with acrylic paint, added flowers, lace, and other embellishments to create a totally Shabby Hat!!!

Baby Oh Baby!

I have been asked on several occasions if I could make a card for either a baby shower or simply for Baby!  So, to accomodate the lovely Latinas I have created a beautiful card using Graphic 45 Little Darling and Iralamija Digital Vintage Girls Collage.

Now, I love the way the both turned out, but I could not have done it without the products I used.
For my first card I used Beatriz Jennings Vintage Girls digital collage http://www.etsy.com/listing/63402336/vintage-girls-01-collage-digital-images.

CARD 1:

So, what did I used to complete this card?  The recipe is very simple and I think that every touch gave it that Baby oh Baby Look!

RECIPE:
  • Stampin Up Cardstock
  • Graphic 45 Little Darling Paper Collection
  • Want2Scrap Bling
  • Pink Baby Pom Poms
  • Light Pink Seam Binding for the bow
  • Graphic  45 Little Darling Chipboard Tag 2
  • and I couldn't leave out the Paper flowers by Melissa Frances!
  • Spellbinders Scalloped Frame
  • Vintage Girls from Iralamija http://www.etsy.com/listing/63402336/vintage-girls-01-collage-digital-images
CARD 2:

Ok, so if you have a little darling boy, here is a perfect little card for that perfect Little Angel!  I created this card using Kraft cardstock and accents are from Graphic 45 Little Darling Collection.

Recipe:

  • Graphic 45 Little Darling Collection (paper and tag 2 chipboard)
  • Stampin Up Cardstock
  • White Seam Binding
  • Want2Scrap Swirl Pearls
  • Spellbinder

The measurements of the card are 5 x 10".  Next score leaving 2 1/2" on each side of the kraft paper to create the two front folds.  I left about a 1/4" for each layer and adhered using Scotch Quick Dry Glue.  To make the rosettes, I cut out 3 circles of various sizes and the leaves were also hand cut.  I am totally missing my punches right about now!  To finish up the card I used Want 2 Scrap bling and Graphic 45 Little Darling Tag 2, and that gave this card that Baby oh Baby shabby look!

I am a bit behind on my posting, but a lot has to do with the fact that I am in the process of building a house and so that is taking some of my time, but I had to share with you some of my newest creations.  My wonderful husband has been sending me my craft supplies slowly and I have had to replace a lot of them, because during the shipping some of the things came damaged.

Playful Stamps

Playful Stamps

I have taken stamping in a cool and fun way of stamping. I used several cool steps to get these stamping affects. Now it's not something new, but it's something that is fun to do especially when you have cool stamps , heat gun, embossing powder, and some pigment powders!

I really like altering old boxes that I find at the Goodwill or any thriftshop.  These were recycled saved and here is what I created with them.  They went from being super boring to super chic!!! It's amazing what you can create with paint, distressing liquid, stamps, and other cute embellishments.  Awesome way of thinking outside the box!!

Flower Marathon!

So, it's been a flower marathon in my  house, and it has been a totally FUN!  There's something about flowers that reminds you that Spring is in the Air, well at least not for another month, but in my craft room Spring is in the Air.

I like creating flower sprays that can be used for just about any project, whether you want something for your scrapbook page or just for a beautiful box, these flower sprays will sure knock you off your feet.

Tell me what you think?  I love to read the comments.

So, if you take these, you can make

THESE!!!! Aren't they just lovely!!!
